Darren Carabott is an associate at Valletta Legal, whose practice specialises in a wide spectrum of litigation and advisory services ranging from civil, property and debt collection disputes to planning and commercial matters.
Darren is an integral part of the firm’s litigation team and is adept at representing clients in Court during litigation proceedings. This aspect of his work entails meticulously researching and presenting legal arguments, negotiating settlements, and advocating for clients’ interests. Darren also specialises in offering guidance and legal counsel to clients in various non-litigation matters. This could include contract drafting and review, and compliance with laws and regulations.
Before joining Valletta Legal in 2019, Darren obtained his Master of Advocacy from the University of Malta in 2018 and was admitted to the Bar in 2019. He furthered his academic studies by reading for a Master of Laws in Transnational Crime & Justice in 2019, an international criminal and human rights law programme jointly organised by the United Nations’ mandated University for Peace (UPEACE) and the United Nations Interregional Crime & Justice Institute (UNICRI). Darren was promoted to Senior Associate in July of 2024.
Since 2022, Darren has also been serving as a Member of Parliament and Chairperson of the Public Accounts Committee.
